Mount Sunapee Resort in winter is a totally new and exciting experience. Over $11 million has been invested in capital improvements over the last three years, more than any other ski resort in the State of New Hampshire, to provide the most up-to-date facilities and skiing experience.
The breathtaking 360-degree view overlooking beautiful Lake Sunapee will take you far, far away from daily life. Yet the resort is a close and easy escape - just 90 minutes from Boston, 40 minutes from Manchester and 30 minutes from Concord.
In summer, the resort offers a wide variety of activities, hiking, picnicking, and events and activities scheduled throughout the summer.
Mount Sunapee offers a variety of hiking trails to the summit. The Summit Trail, located at the base of the Ridge Trail, is a pleasant two-mile hike through the woods. The trail follows the Ridge Trail to the summit and brings you to the back side of the Summit Lodge. During the Craftsmen's Fair, and also during the fall foliage season, the Sunapee Express detachable quad chairlift opens to transport guests to the summit to enjoy the 360-degree view.
From the summit, you can either hike down the mountain or to Lake Solitude, a glacial lake, located on the back side of Mount Sunapee. You can access the Andrew Brook Trail, located off Mountain Road, to take you to Lake Solitude.
Hiking is allowed on all ski trails and picnicking is allowed throughout the resort.
